Sports Week in Zinal. The slalom was canceled on Tuesday, about ten cm of fresh snow isolated the cold layer soaked by rain and unusually high temperatures which preceded this episode costs and snowy. The competition requires concrete runways! Wednesday 17 in the morning, clear skies finally froze tracks, perfect conditions to organize a giant slalom in the glory of Austria: 1st Manuel Wieser, Martin Bischof 2nd, 3rd Marcel Mathis. All Austrians.
Thursday 18, we got up with a dozen fresh cm and a special took place under good conditions. The morning was semi-sunny afternoon more nebulous. Italy's Roberto Nani won the slalom at the Swiss Tumler Marco and Mauro Caviezel.
Friday, 19 under an azure sky, the Swiss Mauro Caviezel avoided another triumph in Austria before Bischof Martin Mayer and Mathias.
The primer is excellent, 15cm of wet snow and frozen, covered with a twenty inch of powder. The slopes are already drawn, some are not afraid to sacrifice their slats for powdery raw sensations. But the season is long and insiders expect conditions to improve. 30cm and is still happiness over 2500m. This new layer could fill up our tops the weekend if the weather next week is confirmed.
